From Saturday, July 18, 2026, through Tuesday, July 21, 2026, the annual summer camp took place in Willisau. This year marked a special anniversary: the 30th! A total of 89 karatekas from IFK Switzerland Kyokushinkai gathered for the event. Twelve dojos were represented.
Shihan David Pickthall, 8th DAN and President of the IFK World Federation, served as the head instructor. Training consisted of kihon (basic techniques), kata, and sparring practice in various forms. On Sunday evening, a refereeing course—for kumite—was held for brown belts and higher. On Monday afternoon, 30 fights were held, as has become tradition. On Tuesday, the various training sessions were reviewed, and the exam results were announced. We thank everyone who contributed to the success of the summer camp—OSU.
