IFK World Black Belt Seminar 2023

The IFK World Black Belt Seminar will be held in Yerevan, Armenia after the European Championships on 24th -26th April 2023.

The Seminar will have IFK President Shihan David Pickthall, Board Member Shihan Eddy Gabathuler and Head of IFK Kata Shihan Janine Davies.

On the 26th April the IFK Dan Test will take place. All applicants for the Dan test must complete their paperwork and submit it through their Country Representative to office@ifk-kyokushin.com no later than one month before.

IFK Armenian Cup 2021

On November 28, the annual "Armenian Open Championship" was held by IFK Armenian branch. Besides the Armenian team, the Georgian and the Iranian teams also took part. Approximately 300 Armenian athletes participated successfully, registering brilliant victories and spectacular fights. Those who won prizes will participate in the KWU Youth Championship of Europe to be held in Yerevan on April 1-3, 2022.

KWU Kyokushin European Youth Championship in weight categories

Date: 1-3 April 2022

Place: Yerevan, Armenia “DINAMO” sports complex, str. Vardanants, 69 building

Organizer: The ministry of education, science, culture, and sports of The Republic of Armenia and Armenian Kyokushin karate federation

The official list of the judges will be presented by KWU. Only accredited judges can be chosen for judging.

Judges, who would like to take part in the judging seminar on April 1, 2022, in Yerevan, must send their application on this email: info@kyokushin.am with the headline – “Judging Seminar”. In the case of successful passing of the seminar and the exam, the participants of this seminar have a chance to be chosen as official judges for the Youth KWU Kyokushin European Championship in Yerevan 2022. Candidates for judging will pay all their expenses themselves.

Participation: Representatives of national federations, who have passed national qualifying championships with calling in all interested groups of Kyokushin in a particular country at the age from 12 to 17 years and up to 3 fighters from each country in each weight category. The quota for WKO Shinkyokushinkai: The competitors from WKO Shinkyokushinkai, who wish to participate in the Youth KWU
Kyokushin European Championship (kumite) in weight categories, should contact their Branch Chiefs, who would inform about this request to the WKO Shinkyokushinkai Headquarters.

Rules: This tournament will be held based on KWU rules.

1 boys (12 -13 full years, kumite) 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 55+
2 girls (12 -13 full years, kumite) 40, 45, 50, 50+
3 boys (14-15 full years, kumite) 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 65+
4 girls (14-15 full years, kumite) 45, 50, 55, 60, 60+
5 boys (16-17 full years, kumite) 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 75+
6 girls (16-17 full years, kumite) 50, 55, 60, 65, 65+

The age of the fighters is determined on the day of passing the credentials committee, which is April 01, 2022.

IFK Armenia held an exam

On February 28 was held the qualification examination of sportsmen of different age groups, organized by the Kyokushin Karate Federation of Armenia, in which event the sportsmen took part with great enthusiasm.

Judging by the words of gratitude from parents and sportsmen, we can say that the event was held at a high level. “ - The examination was led by the president and the founder of the Armenian Kyokushin karate federation and IFK BC Andranik Hakobyan.

Caucasus Championship of Kyokushin karate in Tbilisi

On November 10, Armenia’s Kyokushin Karate team, led by its founder-president Andranik Hakobyan, participated in the 18th annual Caucasus Championship in Tbilisi, with teams from Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan participating.

As always, this time too, Armenian sportsmen recorded high rates. 7 gold medalists: Vahagn Hakobyan, Andranik Stepanyan, Abraham Tarverdyan, Petros Farfaryan, Gegham Gevorgyan, Ruzanna Mkhitaryan and Alisa Bejanyan, 4 silver medalists: Grisha Kirakosyan, Areg Saribekyan, Eduard Ayvazyan, Misha Harutyunyan and Sergey Zakaryan.

Armenian Cup 2019

On April 7, Kyokushin Karate Federation of Armenia headed by IFK BC Andranik Hakobyan held its annual "Armenian Cup" in Ashtarak city.
